Who is Lil Wayne?

Lil Wayne (Dwayne Carter Jr.) is a rapper from Hollygrove, New Orleans. He signed with Cash Money Records as a kid and came up in the Hot Boys with Juvenile, B.G. and Turk.

Known for

The Tha Carter series, above all Tha Carter III (2008), which sold a million copies in its first week, gave him his first number one with "Lollipop" and won the Grammy for Best Rap Album. His mixtapes from the mid-2000s, such as Dedication and Da Drought 3, are legendary. Through his label Young Money he launched Drake and Nicki Minaj.
